Robert Rosenwald and Barbara Peters work for fans,
authors, bookstores and the publishing industry.
They are mystery."
Bouchercon 2008 website

Barbara Peters founded The Poisoned Pen - "a mystery bookstore and more" in 1989. This independent bookstore became so successful that she has been nominated 12 times as Bookseller of the Year.  She is the winner of the Raven Award from the Mystery Writers of America for outstanding contributions outside the field of creative writing, a member of The Mystery Writers of America, The British Crime Writers Association, The Crimewriters of Canada, The Valley Independent Booksellers Association, and the American Booksellers Association/Book Sense.  She also co-founded the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association.
The Poisoned Pen mystery bookstore has become a compulsory stop on writers' book tours of the USA, where Barbara hosts talks, signings, and from where she broadcasts interviews.

Robert Rosenwald along with wife Barbara Peters, and daughter Susan Malling founded Poisoned Pen Press - Publishing Excellence in Mystery - in 1997.  It is now the second largest hardcover publisher of mysteries in the USA, publishing 50-60 hardcovers a year and the same number of trade paperbacks.  Poisoned Pen Press began by making out of print books available to readers, but expanded to publish original titles to critical acclaim, quickly earning two Edgar Award nominations (1998 and 2000).
